Alright it's time for kolache experiment number two. This time I added half a cup of pineapple juice to the dough mixture to try and increase the sweetness. Unfortunately I'm a bit of a fucking moron and forgot that meant I needed to increase the dry ingredients too and now I have Too Much Dough so I guess I'm gonna make a loaf of bread with what ever is left over.

Some notes for anyone that cares:
* Heated the oven to 200 and turned off for the first rise as a way to try and make sure the temp was at least kind of acceptable since it's so cold today.

* added 1/2 cup of pineapple juice which resulted in needing about 2x the flour I expected. The dough ball above is what it should look like after the first rise lol

* to make the pineapple juice I bought an 8oz can of dole pineapple chunks and puréed them, adding some of the fibers back in

@mpuckett259 I do the "warm oven in the winter" thing too, though usually not quite that warm. I'm eager to hear how well it works. Also want to hear the take of the pineapple experiment. I've used that in a recipe that was supposed to be a version of Kings Hawaiian Bread, but didnt really work as planned.

@TonyaMarie yeah I didn't actually hear it all the way to 200, I think I got impatient and stopped it around 175F, then turned it off. It retained the heat pretty well, though, and the dough certainly doubled in size in the hour I left it for. I think I'll be doing this from now on.

@mpuckett259 In my gas stove, I usually just turn it on and let the gas burn for 5-10 seconds to give a kick of heat, and then turn it off. I've never let it get all the way up to a measurable temperature before. I'm excited to hear the final result!

@TonyaMarie @mpuckett259 - The method I use is to set my oven for 200F and Bake, but only for two minutes. Then put the dough in for rising for however long.

@TonyaMarie @dolari yeah this is basically exactly what I did.
