So, a new low for job searching? Pre-recorded interviews.
I already don't like essentially retyping my entire resume in your application when you ask for my resume to begin with, but I've now had two applications where they've asked me to record video responses to interview questions as part of the application.
Currently drawing the line at that. I'm really hoping, though, that it doesn't become common practice....
@dolari Amen to that, friend. You want footage of me on video as part of my job application, you pay for that effort!
This is quite clever, really, if you think about it. Since anyone with skill, talent, and integrity would never demean themselves to work there, it self-selects those posers best at faking, yet still, afraid of being discovered, are eagerly compliant!
A simple scan of the code quality of such orgs, and it's easy to see why they prefer the latter camp: there's a camaraderie among posers 😏
@dolari I had a couple of those in my recent job search, I also skipped them. Luckily they weren’t too common.
