I am 15 minutes into Strange New Worlds, and I'm ready to rename this to The Commander Pelia Hour. Carol Kane is this show already playing a character type I've NEVER seen in Star Trek before: The michevious grandma.

Lwaxana would get me on a ship as far away from Betazed as possible, too. Pelia would make me cookies while encouraging me to pick the pocket of a Ferengi. :D
@dolari I think they have a bit of the same no nonsense, centre of attention vibe, but obv they're different characters.
I really enjoyed Palia, not sure if she has time for baking though. She seems to have her mind set on adventure, and I'm here for a full season of the usual crew taking a backseat to her 🙂
