@dolari reminds me of this mid af bbq chain up here called mission bbq. Its also "patriotic" (the creepy conservative kind) af so maybe avoid that. Their white sauce and mustard saice were good tho.
Theres a p good bbq place up here where i live called two brothers and another one called hog fathers but im assiming any southern place (the only southern bbq ive tried was carolina style) will run circles around both tho

@Mondobizarrro - That's my main problem. I lived ten minutes from Lockhart, TX, the capital of Texas BBQ. Three places in competition there for decades, and some of the best BBQ you can get. So I'm super spoiled.
Everything else pales in comparison...especially outside of Texas.
