#QuestionOfTheDay: what's your books, comics or general writing hot take? Like an actually scorching hot take that you actually believe and would cause controversy.

#books #comics #comicbooks #webcomic #novels #writing #reading #fantasy #SciFi

*As an example of the kinds of takes i mean you can check out the responses to the previous 2 Question of the Days:

The technological progression of magic makes no sense in most fantasy worlds

Electricity is real world magic. We started researching it in ~1600. In ~1820 we invented the electric motor. By 1950, electricity became commonplace. By the year 2000, it's normal to have a computer in your house. Now it's weird if you don't have one or two or three (cell phone, laptop, watch, eReader, etc.)

And yet a 1,000 year old magic Kingdom has never had a technological revolution? That's weird

@godmaire @ami_angelwings - I'm a big fan of Legend of Zelda, and often wonder how a civilization that's apparently ten thousand years old always looks medieval. Then I remember Gannon keeps coming back so they're having Iron Age Collapses every couple of centuries.
