The search for a new place to live continues. I found a hunter's shack about four hours away on a river, with insulation *and* a wood stove, which would be a nice place for skywatching. TheMate, thinking bigger as always, has found a decommissioned church an hour or so closer in. Power and gas can be reconnected, although it's without even the outdoor privvy of the shack. Of course, the heating cost of churches are known to be significant, and the 'historical' aspect might make giving it things like 'rooms' and 'kitchens' and 'showers' complicated.

I may be going slightly mad. In different directions than usual.

@Momentrabbit one advantage of living in the church is that you won't have rowdy immortals mucking up the place with their swordfights. it's three times a week around here. i'm like "go have your little head-choppy lightning battles somewhere else" but do they listen to me? phaugh.

(don't know what level of levity-appreciation you're currently at but we are all pulling for you, this is an awfully tough thing you're going through and i hope it all turns out well)
