@Holocluck - I hate that word. Such bad connotations and preconcieved ideas.
I'm approaching this as an official comission for the show, and planning to write it as professionally as possible as if I was writing for the show itself. No wish fulfillment, no mary-sue-ism, no slash. It's an official episode of the show for someone who is doing an unofficial recreation of it.
@dolari A long time back a handful of us did one chapter/episode in RP style via Email to craft an original #StarTrekVoyager episode.
Our goal was to make it as close to canon in tone without fainting mutants, unlikely pair ups, and the crew doing what their jobs called for. It was understated yet effective. It CAN be done.
It got eaten when Roadrunner (aka Time Warner high speed) ended personal homepages. I could take it to Way Back Machine to dig up the old site if there was interest
