Star Trek Voyager.

In Vis à Vis, Tom comes from the holodeck to the bridge, after being requested by the Captain. He’s wearing overalls after working on a (holographic) Camero. On the holodeck he has oil on his face and arms, but still has them on the bridge.

But the oil is holographic, surely?!

@Aminorjourney - I'm a big believer that the holodeck uses both holographic and replication technology for realism. It allows you to grab and move things realistically with heft and weight, while other stuff is just projection. Also: excuse for stuff like the oil smears. :)
