One of the things I find really frustrating about the US's car culture is the amount of time I waste when I'm doing errands...driving from one parking lot to another parking lot a couple of minutes away.

Theoretically I could walk these but here's usually no footpath between them and it's often intentionally designed to make walking difficult.

The three stores I visited today were almost but not quite next to each other separated instead by a vast pointless swathe of parking lot

@pyoor - Vicious cycle: We don't need walking space, because we all have cars -> I can't get there without a car since there's no walking space so I guess I need a car....
