I know that some people will ask exactly WHY two middle-aged queer women living with their three dogs and seven chickens are growing just so much food...
The answer is pretty simple.
1) I grow because I can (and I enjoy it)
2) Very often, our crops don't always do amazingly well due to temperamental weather.
3) I enjoy giving food away to friends, coworkers, family, and those who can't grow their own food and don't have the money spare to buy good quality veg.

@Aminorjourney - While I don't garden myself, my formers roomies do, and as the recipient of those harvests, I think gardening is AMAZING.
