I do not understand Monte Cristo sandwiches. I've eaten them. I've made them. I just don't get them.
@Skovheks - Like, the Monte Cristo sanwich base is actually really good. IT's the powdered sugar and/or honey that bothers me.

I love the sandwich, and dipping it in raspberry jam..
But the powered sugar on top has ALWAYS bothered me. It's just excessive sweetness that momentarily adds the mouth feel of reminiscent of the time I accidentally ate moldy bread
