Not that often nowadays, because I settled with SAI2.
But in the past when I wasn't satisfied with Photoshop I tested a lot software.
Krita was a good candidate, Fire Alpaca is good as well.
GNUimp was ...well ...the version I had was clunky and even worse than PS.
CSP is very professional but it overwhelmed me very fast.
@JoKeR @webcomictalk - Q3: Usually when I see another effect in a comic I like that I can't replicate. :)
