Today is National Cream Filled Donut Day. My mom used to drive us to school in the city, and we would often stop for a donut breakfast. My favorite was a Boston cream filled donut with chocolate icing. Which one of these cream fillings sound good to you?

There’s a local bakery that made (makes?) individually wrapped chocolate-topped donuts that had whipped cream in them, for sale at convenience stores.
… one of which I lived right beside for the better part of a decade (and probably the better part of 15 pounds).
I still think about them once in a while. Still the donut I compare every other donut against.
