@Orb2069 - in Resonite? If the avvie is showing in world, just point at it with your mouse or hand, bring up the action menu and choose equip (dont forget to save the avatar).
If it's in your inventory just click it once and choose equip.

Kind of curious as to how you got your Link avi set up? I found some place handing out Avis, but couldn't install one. I don't think I've got the hang of the UI yet.
