I was hoping it was the transcode because the source backup was 7.7GB.
Nope! It really is just that bad of a transfer.
Maybe someday I'll get the Criterion Blu-ray. For now, I'll go back to my transcode. At least the subtitles show up and the picture is larger (which only makes the pixels *bigger*).
Universe, this film would be so dang pretty if the transfer wasn't so damn bad.
