The bad news: One of my other medications now has a $500 price tag per month.
The good news: It's the same issue, I need to order a three month supply, to get it back down to the covered prices.
The bad news: I now have two medications that, every three months, will cost me $500 each.
The good news: I have enough of that second medication to hold me over one month, so at least I'm not paying $1200 on Friday for meds. And that will stagger that $1000 out over two months.
But holy cow.
Still hating the American Healthcare System with the fury of a thousand suns.
@ddlyh - for those of you with Universal (or at least Subsidized) HEalthcare, thank your freakin' lucky stars. I had a nine month battle with my insurance company (that got super dirty at times) to cover a hospital stay. And I still paid through the nose for it.
And I watched my then fiancee, a Canadian, get life saving surgery after an massive infection, at zero cost to her.
@dolari
Wow. Puts the rumoured 50p increase in prescription charges of the NHS into perspective!
