This Week's Bread: Authentic British Scones.
This time I used a cookie cutter and re-folded the dough to try and get six total. Next time I make these I'll use a smaller size for better consistency.
@ddlyh - Being American, I pronounce it SKOWN. However, the young Australian girl who convinced me to make these has told me that if I ever EVER put the cream on first, THEN the jam, I am to be yeeted into the sun.
If I get it wrong, do I lose my Dr Who priviledges?
@dolari
The controversy is that it depends whether you listen to the Cornish or the people from Devon...
@dolari https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornish_cream_tea#Variations (though this doesn't go into the rivalry between the two counties and the ill-feeling of the use of the other method in each area.)
@dolari
Controversy time 😉: how do you pronounce "scone" and do you put the jam or the clotted cream on first?
