I worked at a comic shop during the Death of Superman. I remember handing these out like candy that day and we "sold out" pretty quickly (in fact, we held back some for kids getting out of school).

Something that made me sad were people showing up and saying "We're gonna finance our kids college with this!" They weren't comic book fans, just people who got whipped into the hype, or speculators trying to make an easy buck and didn't realize that the reason comics get expensive is their rarity AND demand.

Demand was there, sure. But DC printed so many of thiese things they were never going to be expensive. It's been 32 years, so I hope those kids got to go to college regardless.

I love this pic. Everyone in our Creator Jam sitting around the ramen bar I made (and then they made better!). :)

Still not feeling 100% and my stomach demanded a pizza, so I ordered one. Halfway through the first slice, my stomach said "we're done."

So yeah, still sick. But getting better and now I have food for a couple of days.

Doing my throat some good. Wish I had some tofu me bamboo shoots to add some bulk.

Playing Atari games with an Atari Joystick in VR is amazing. I even got a hand cramp playing it! Just like old times.

This is an entirely too new TV for playing 2600 games, though.

One more piece of immersion for retrogaming both in Retroarch and EmuVR! Atari now makes a full on Wireless Atari Joystick, so as a "I Got The Job" present, I picked one up. And it works great, but even better, it comes with an adapter I can use on my 45+ year old Atari 2600!

My NES Controller does double duty as a TurboGrafx controller, and my Genesis one also acts as a controller for the 3DO. I just realized while packing I have a PSX Classic controller, which should work better for PS1 games than the DualShock, since it's missing the analog segment. I'd still use the PS2 controller for PS2 games.....

Fifty years on this planet, twenty six as a woman, I've never had a friendship bracelet. ❤

Our non profit had a holiday party at this barn loft, and let me tell you...I want to live in this barn loft forever and ever.

I have half a mind to keep all my toys packed, wait until Christmas Day, and have THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER unpacking BOXES AND BOXES OF TOYS.

The nice thing about virtual bodies? I felt like having green eyes, so I gave myself green eyes. No real reason other than "I think I like green tonight."

I should also do red one day.

Also, you can pull my glasses off now. :)

As opposed to "Rocks" "Shiny Buttons" or "Toenail Clippings."
