@CiscoJunkie - I'm originally from the Hill Country in Texas, and we'd get these just absolute monster storms. I love them and miss them.

I've been here 15 years, and I gosh darn I miss those storms. Any chance for a little lightning and thunder around here and I'm happy.

The best thing about hearing Thunder in the Seattle area is the actual thunder itself.

Second Best thing is watching all the Seattlites pop up like meerkats going "WAS THAT THUNDER?"

Playing catchup on all the TV I missed during the pinched nerve thing. Finally saw SNW's Under The Cloak of War.

It feels really relevant to things currently going on my life, with me trying to be Pike, working with the Klingon Ambassador, but having folks like M'Benga/Chapel all around me.

I would hope I fare better in this. Unlike the Klingon, I'm not trying to be a saint, or a savior. Just trying to do the right thing for everyone. But I know everyone will not be pleased with what I'm trying to do.

I'm glad I didn't see this until now. I really kinda needed to.

My wish is for every single future trans person to be able to accept themselves without ever having to first reach that sorry state of “fuck it, it's either this or death, so just fuck everything”.

The passage through that point of pain is so pointless. We deserve to start out from a place of joy.

NBC News reports: "Scientists have found clear differences in the blood of people with long COVID — a key first step in the development of a test to diagnose the illness."
