@Jennconspiracy - Some Hungarians over on Bluesky told me I didn't put enough in. 😆

I have skinny jeans? I can wear my scrunch boots with them!

@kkarhan - I worried that the recipe didn't have any "season to taste." So I seasoned it. And it didn't take. And did it again. And it didn't take. Eventually I got worried about the amount of salt going into it. Eventually I just stopped cooking it, and servied it up, thinking "I'll salt it when I eat it if it needs more."

And when I ate a full spoonful, it still wasn't salty, even with romano cheese sprinkled on it. Instead it was incredibly bitter tasting tomato.

I'm guessing "tomato paste" might mean something different wherever this was printed and it should have beeen "tomato puree" or something "tomato sauce." Either way, it tastes horrible and was a disservice to the seafood.

This Week's Fancy Pants Meal: Seafood Marinara.

It's bad folks. Like REALLY bad. Ooof. And I LOVE seafood.

Made some cinnamon rolls for Christmas dinner, and the first batch came out SO bad (they literally melted into a sheet of dough when rising), that I made a second batch.

The second batch was sort of better, but still collapsed on itself. And the oven decided to overcook them. And I put too much evaporated milk in the icing when It came out too thick, and made it too thin.

Next time, I'm going to try making them in a casserole dish instead of a baking tray like the instructions say so the walls (and the other rolls) can hold the dough up.

But hey, dry cinnamon bread with a hint of icing! Maybe a few seconds in the microwave will save 'em.

Everyone time I see this brand name at the local grocery store, my brain automatically assumes it's AI generated art struggling to make a complete word.

So, I've started freezing milk to cut down on food waste, and for the most part, it's working! There still more waste than I'd like, but at least I'm not throwing out a quart of buttermilk for a quarter cup of the stuff.

This Week's Plain Jane Meal (2/2): Ribeye Steak

Another super easy, super tasty quick plate for the week. Ribeye Steak with just salt and pepper, fried in a pan of olive oil. Maybe a dab of A1 sauce.

My pork easy meal is usually just sausages warmed up in the microwave.

@TonyaMarie - I was also concerned in the "number" of rolls, too, that doing it one way would make too many spirals trying to rise, but doing it long ways is LESS spirals, and should be fine.

Math is hard.

@TonyaMarie - Ah, thanks. My rolls ended up collapsing under their own weight, sadly. I followed the directions (wait till the dough pulls off the sides of the bowl) instead of my common sense (this feels REALLY soft), so they're going to be very flat rolls.😆

@TonyaMarie - When you rolled yours up, did you do it "long side" first (as the instructions say) or "short side" first, as what common sense seems to say. I kinda think it's supposed to be short side first given how wierd my rolls end up looking....

If we collected what is actually owed from the top 1% in taxes, we could forgive student loans, invest more in infrastructure and green energy, protect social security and help Ukraine beat Russia. I call that multiple win-wins.

Great feature on the Mastodon software is a TEMPORARY "mute". So, if someone is getting on your nerves, you don't want to hear about a topic for a few days, etc. you can mute someone without blocking them. I love that feature!
