Hey! You in Washington state? Please oppose this bill (HB1038): https://app.leg.wa.gov/PBC/Bill/1038
OPPOSE
"""
HB 1038: Prohibiting puberty blocking medications, cross-sex hormones, and gender transition surgeries for minors.
"""
Whether you're trans or not, please oppose this bill and leave a comment 🥺
Because gender-affirming care saves lives and *everyone* should be able to make their own choices about their bodies.

@mxtiffanyleigh Sounds like an opportunity! :D
Hey, all! Some fun ST:TMP related news!
As you may know, I'm a fan of Movie Archaeology, digging into early drafts of movies. ST:TMP got me started in that, and was the subject of my first comparison page of all the drafts and movies, which you can see here: http://dolari.net/startrek/tmp/index.html
What CAN'T you see? The actual scripts (unless you ask real nice). Mainly because I can't afford the bandwidth for some of these scripts to be downloaded. However, the folks over at Forgotten Trek have made some of the scripts I have available for reading!
Read Phillip Kaufman's "Star Trek: Treatment for the Motion Picture " (a last ditch attempt to keep Star Trek: Planet of the Titans afloat) here: https://forgottentrek.com/phase-2/planet-of-the-titans-the-film-that-wasnt/
Read both Harold Livingston's Rough Draft and Gene Roddenberry's Second Draft of "In Thy Image" here: https://forgottentrek.com/phase-2/in-thy-image (The Rough Draft was written for the proposed TV show, and the Second Draft was written as the production was moving towards Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
I do have other drafts of the movie, which aren't hosted online right now, but if you'd like to read them, let me know.
So I bought some frozen samosas and it came with mint and tamarind chutney. Love the stuff. But I was wondering...the very first Indian restaurant I went to in State College, PA, had TOMATO chutney. It was REALLY REALLY good. I've never seen it anywhere but that one restaurant.
I need to learn to make that cause it was really good.
One of my favorite pieces of movie soundtrack music reduced to one piano that sounds every bit as good as the orchestral version.
If you'd like a #YouTube #Video #News channel that covers the world of #cleaner, #greener, #safer, #smarter and #MoreEquitable #transportation - and you’d like that news free from Nazis - you really should give us a go.
We're small, #QueerOwned #Trans operated, and we won't support or platform someone doing the "Roman Salute" - unlike most of our rivals in the sector.
We cover #EVs, #CleanEnergy, #MicroMobility, and #LivableCities among other things. We're also 100% viewer supported,
We even have a @transport_evolved_main #peertube account.

@socketwench - I always rankle when people group ST3 in the "Bad Trek" category. It's a good movie. It's not the Pulp Sci-Fi of TMP, or Moby Dick in Space like TWOK, but it is a funeral dirge for Spock. Everything is being done to get Spock's body back until they realize he's alive. It's slower, more solemn. As is right for a funeral dirge.
Even at the end we don't know we're gettnig him back, so it's treated solemnly.
It's one of my faves.
But that one with the whales, now....
"At what cost? Your ship. Your son."
"If I hadn't tried, the cost would have been my soul."
I wasn't joking when I said I found Star Trek a better teacher of how to be a human being than Sunday School.
"What you had to do, what you always do; turn death into a fighting chance to live."
I only wish I didn't have to face is quite so often...
@socketwench - The destruction of the Enterprise hurt. It really hurt.
Like, I know the 1701-A is the same model as the TMP 1701. But adding that A on there...it's a while new character, and one I dont like as much because we didn't spend time together. Just two movies.
Find storry about the melting saucer section...it was achieved by dropping colored candlewax on a substitute model. The candlewax was composited away with the burning infrastructure underneath.
@antijingoist @socketwench - Personally I never liked it. It made me laugh everytime instead of feel for David's death.
Different strokes....
