@lunarobverse @ami_angelwings - I have several reproductions of the production scripts (7 of the 13 hours planned for Season 1). They're have a more "Strange New Worlds" feel to them in that their still TOS episodes, but a little more mature in subject matter.

They make Xon a LITTLE too powerful, though, giving him psychic powers that Vulcans didn't seem to have in TOS.

@ami_angelwings - What if Star Trek: Phase II had actually happened, and The Motion Picture was never made. Would we have the Trek-verse we have today? Would it have been as popular as TNG? Would it have fizzled out after a few years?

I keep saying that Strange New Worlds episodes are better than they have any right to be. Afterthe Lower Decks Crossover and the musical episode, they have every right to be as good as they are. They earned it.

Especially after THAT scene.

@socketwench - SNW is quickly becoming the Trek I've enjoyed most since DS9.

I'm ten minutes into the latest Strange New Worlds, and let me tell you, I've howl-laughed three times now. I don't think a musical episode would have worked in any other Star Trek, and maybe not even the first season...but they've estrablished this Trek can be Goofy Trek, and it works inside Goofy Trek.
