I love how KONO radio in San Antonio of setup. It's been on 860AM since the 50s, and has been a 50s/60s/70s oldies station since the late 70s.

In the 90s, they picked up the 101.1FM frequency and simulcast on both.

Now as the years went on, they kept with the oldies format, but the oldies became the 80s and 90s. And, as mom said, KONO isn't what it used to be. And I guess KONO heard them because they split into KONO-FM and KONO-AM. FM is still an oldies format. But the AM ONLY plays 50s/60s/70s. In stuffy mono. Just like they did in the 70s.

Nice little compromise there: the old fogeys get their muffled mono oldies, and those of us aging FAR more gracefully get our crystal clear stereophonic oldies. ;)

@Holocluck - Yup! I was/am on the other side of the synagogue in Celerio! :)

@Holocluck - I've been next to the Second Life Synagogue since almost Day One. Minus a few years were I dissapeared....

We're planning to be in the Kerrville-ish area for the eclipse. Looks like they're expecing a TON of folks out there. We won't be going to Kerrville specifically...but pretty close: today.com/video/how-kerville-t

@Mondobizarrro - There's actually a BETTER chain of burgers, but it's only in San Antonio: Burger Boy (not the famous Burger Boy chain in CA). I've often said Whtaburger is the best burger in the nation, but Burger Boy is the best burger in San Antonio.

One of the defining qualities of Whataburger that other chains don't understand is that their burgers tastes just as good cold as hot.

@Holocluck - Happy Rez Day! How am I older than you in there? :)

Finally, a proper hamburger.

More places need to understand that the most efficient fries to ketchup delivery system is cups and tubs.

I regret to admit that I do look better if I smile, but unfortunately for all the people that have told me that in life, they did not generate that particular visage, and so I have removed them and found others to do so.
