Folks who are looking at or have had GRS or FFS: How do you go about picking a surgeon?

I keep hearing things that sound like you've done piles of research about different surgeons and found one you particularly trust over all the others.

How do you go about evaluating them? It's not like I'm just going to search for GRS on Yelp and trust reviews.
