While giving a ★ to posts you enjoy on Mastodon is nice, it does not help to boost the post in any way. It only shows the creator that you enjoyed their post.

It helps a post on here much more to engage with it by "boosting" which reposts it to your followers, or replying to it!

I'm copying a recipe from one of my DS Recipe Books and I noticed it has suggestions for a birthday meal. I decided to take a look. Here's what it suggests. If I wasn't trying to save cash, I'd actually do this. :D

Meal 1: Perfect Hamburgers, Oven Fries, All-Purpose Buttery Yellow Cake

Meal 2: Crispy Chicken Parmesan, Baked Macaroni and Cheese, Easy Yellow Cupcakes

Meal 3: Deep Dish Cheese Pizza, Greens with Creamy Italian Dressing, Emergency Chocolate Cake

House is pretty much deep cleaned, except for the kitchen (i still need to cook one of next week's meals) and the bathrooms (eww). Gonna take a little break and cook that last meal, then if I still have the spoons, start cleaning the kitchen.

Thinking about changing instances. Is there a service where can input who i follow and who follows me and it will tell me if anyone would get disconnected by migrating to a new instance? I know I can see which instances are blocked by a new instance, but it seems cumbersome to go through all the accounts i follow and check the lists for each instance I am considering. #accountmigration

1 - use alt text on your images, so people that don’t have the same abilities as you can enjoy your content. Your posts won’t get boosted if it’s missing.

2 - follow lots & post as much as you want. There is no algorithm, you can’t upset it by posting too little or too much and you will have a better experience the more people you follow & boost. 1/5

The first weekend of the month I spend deep cleaning the house. It didn't happen last month, cause of the neck pain. But this week I'm doing pretty good, and managed to do the living room and dining room, as well as the kitchen hallway.

Then I managed to cook two of next week's three meals for the week, AND riffed a pretty good movie with friends without being surly cause of pain.

It was a good day, and I'm celebrating with a birthday cake flavored Blizzard.

I usually pay for it the next day, but we'll see. Cause there's still another half of the house to deep clean.
