As a trans writer, I'm in an uncomfortable position. It's already hard enough to get cut through and build an audience - foregoing the network effects of substack means I'm removing yet another avenue of growth.

And it also means paying more money out of my own - currently dwindling - funds to pay for Ghost pro or a similar service. That's bloody expensive.

But on the other hand - staying on Substack means staying on a platform that gives revenue and a voice to people who hate my existence.

Supporting people in their reproductive choices also means making it financially viable for people to raise children if they want to.

Kids do not belong to their parents but that means that the responsibility for kids is also shared.

Forced pregnancy, forced sterilization these are absolutely the biggest violations but making it impossible for people to raise kids is a violation too and I wish all the people who want grandkids would address that instead of pressuring their kids.

All the data-processing is purely in your browser, you can literally just download /main.{html, js, css}, store them locally and open main.html in your browser; the only data that my server stores are the access-log and error-log of nginx.

Now to be very clear: I am not a good web-dev at all, this is kinda my first (depending on what you count: second) somewhat serious project that produces dynamic-websites. The code-base is also not yet cleaned up at all, so don’t be too harsh on that. Furthermore there are a lot of features and improvements that I (or someone else? you?) might add later. Aka: This is more of an open-alpha, but some of you might still find it useful.
