That time someone texted me because they were tired of playing Monopoly with their in-laws.

Body: Okay, Jenn. I'm ready to go to sleep now.

Jenn: Oh, no. You wanted to wake up on five hours of sleep. We now have appointments and errands to do before everything closes.

Body: But I didn't WANT to sleep then, I WANT to sleep now.

Jenn: Next time, think about that before waking me the @#%^ up on five hours of sleep.

I just lost 1/2 acre of land, but got handsomely paid for it.

I'll decide if I'm happy or sad later.

I have a Chicken and Waffles recipe (well, Cuccos and Waffles). I think once I get a job, or some money comes in, I'm gonna get a waffle maker.

I LOVE WAFFLES.

If you are #trans and a US citizen, you should absolutely, 100% apply for a passport this year, whether you plan to travel or not. Yes, it costs $$, but you can self-select your gender without bureaucratic BS (thanks, Joe), and it lasts 10 years and is valid ID everywhere in the world. Whatever fascist laws your GOP reps are proposing in your state legislature about gender markers on IDs, you will have a federal document that reflects your actual gender. And if necessary, you can use it to leave the country.

I made a youtube vidiya about the weirdest way i've gotten ghosted + the "joys" of tinder lol

People are scared how free trans & non binary people are.
The freedom of who you are, gender name & everything.
It is a super power to know who you are and to just be you.
It scares fascists because they want everyone and everything controlled.
And we are free just existing

Why does every cautionary dystopian sci-fi tale from the past 75 years somehow become a startup's business plan?

Remember when 8.3 filenames were a thing, and you had to find JUUUUUUST the right combination of numbers and letters so you knew what you were running?

Because OF COURSE I wrote a batch file to run Windows programs from the DOS prompt, and exit back to DOS when done.

#cybersecurity zealots often shame humans for writing down their passwords, but as someone who just had to excavate the digital remains of a loved one who died suddenly:

*please* write down your credentials somewhere a trusted human can find them, especially your phone passcode and any primary passwords (like for email accounts, password manager, etc.)

the humans who care about you will need that access for many reasons; a "badass" threat model will only add helplessness to their grief

And in another milestone, all my CD-ROM software is backed up.

There's more here than fit in one spindle, but just barely. A small 1/4 spindle is on its way.

Given the sheer amount of DVDs (and more than a few Blu Rays) I have, those wont' get finished for sometime....
