Thoughts Before Bed

"What's a warrior to do after he's lost the big one? Win a few of the little ones."

We had this argument was back in 2016 with Laura Ingraham doing the Ugly Salute. We had our debates, we had our arguments and in the ten years since, she was absolutely doing the Ugly Salute.

Musk's doing it now. No need to argue at this point. we had years of that with Ingraham. He's doing it now.

Happy Martin Luther King And Absolutely Nothing Else Day.

Quote of the Day:

"The best thing about being a werewolf is that it's taught me a lot about time management."

Well, if nothing else, I've had a quite pleasant Last Day Of Western Civilisation.

Clickbait Title Correction: "will PROBABLY never appear...."

I would hope "Ranma's Declaration of Womanhood" gets done. While the new Ranma series is hewwing incredibly close to the manga, this anime original episode of the series is probably its best episode and deserves the fresh look.

So there's been a lot of love for David Lynch since his passing. I was big on the whole "if you don't like his supernatural stuff or horror, go watch The Straight Story."

He also did a thirty minute comedy sketch called "The Cowboy & The Frenchman." It's funny. In a David Lynch way: youtube.com/watch?v=JhRFbaTJiV

4K HDR television is the best way to watch multi generation thirty year old video tapes. LOOK AT THE DETAILS AND COLOR!

I got the 4K AND 5.1 working from the PC! It's a nightmare hack but it worked. I ended up plugging an Displayport to HDMI cord into the TV. Boom, 4K at 60Hz. There is another cable from the HDMI to the audio splitter. Boom 5.1.

So, after all that, I'm still not getting HDR from the PC but at this point I'm happyish. I get 4K when I need it, 1080p when I don't, and 5.1 all around.

It works well enough....

If I was to do another "Movie Archeology" site, like I did for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which movie should I do?

The 60s/70s Planet of the Apes Series
Superman (1&2)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Star Wars (New Hope)

They're a slog to do, so I'd rather do one people would like.

4K HDR TV. 5.1 Surround Sound System.

Playing Atari 2600 ET. As punishment.

Thanks to the Great American Healthcare System, I won't know if I cracked a tooth, chipped it, or just lost a filling, until March when my insurance kicks in. I have medicare, but it doesn't cover vision or dental.

Thankfully doesn't hurt but it doesn't feel right. FUN TIMES.
