Neck/Cough update. The neck has been acting pretty good this last week. Only occasional pain, and even then, not the "stab a knife in you" pain I was having a few weeks ago. More of a gentle throb now.

I am a little worried that I don't feel pain in the neck, but I am sitll having the tingling and weakness in my left arm. I'm wondering if the pain going away is actual the pain going away, or further damage that took the pain (and other things) away.

Using mastodon is easy. First, you declare your public key in a federated node close to the clique you want to stochastically associate with, and then perform a sufficiently verisimilar interpretive echolalia such that you've always-already been an integrated circuit in the libidinal economy. You will also, unfortunately, need a username and a password

Thoughts Before Bed:

I love the Transformers toys because I never really saw them as toys. I saw them as puzzles. Some of them had some some pretty complex transformations.

After the movie came out, the line changed and became a lot simpler, both in how they were made (way more plastic) and how they transformed (way simpler). That's probably why I lost interested in the line.

I love these new G1 re-releases because I not only get the figures I never got in the 80s, but they're all the original run, which had really good puzzle like transformations.

OMG, my go-to Teriyaki place in town that let me down last time? NAILED IT today.

Might need to wait a tiny bit on the Teaberry Ice Cream. I'm finally out of teaberry extract which I think is fairly rare outside of the Northeast. I can get it, but I'll have to be ordered.

Considering 1 oz lasted me almost five years, it's worth the shipping price.

This loss to Texas hurt.

Oh, you're queer?

Then name one aspect of western civilisation you've destroyed.

Wow. That episode of Strange New Worlds went full Doctor Who there, and did it amazingly while bringing some fixes to the Star Trek timelines, and even mending a dangling plot from Enterprise.

It's certainly looking like SNW could be this era of Trek's DS9.

Shattering the myth of men as hunters and women as gatherers

phys.org/news/2023-06-shatteri

"They found that women hunt in 79% of the analyzed societies, regardless of their status as mothers. More than 70% of female hunting appears to be intentional—as opposed to opportunistic killing of animals encountered while performing other activities, and intentional hunting by women appears to target game of all sizes, most often large game."

"welcome to our fender reveal party!"

"don't you mean-"

"no."

*guitars emerge from everywhere. there are no fireworks, only riffs. only chaos. there are no genders. only rock.*

#StarTrekSNW's "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" gave us the first appearance of a Denobulan in the 23rd century and the first member of this species in live-action Trek since the end of #StarTrekENT! :-)
