Thoughts Before Bed

I watch a lot of stuff. Anime, cartoons, 80s Sitcoms, Canadian stuff, movies....

But I don't binge watch them. I tend to watch one episode per night per show. Like right now, my evenings consist of an episode of Briscoe County Jr., Being Erica and Corner Gas. On Fridays I watch Doctor Who, Saturdays are cartoons and Sci Fi, Sunday are anime, movies and British Comedies....

It's how I watched TV as a kid, except I'm the programmer now. Lissa has dubbed this "Boomervision" which I take exception to as I'm squarely Generation X.

I'll binge watch something if it grabs my attention, but otherwise it's TGI Fridays every day for me...

A fun side effect of not revealing my employer on Linkedin is getting spam email with sentences like:

"Your background and experience at A Software Company caught my attention"

Oh, did it now. Delete.

TFW it was just a job and then it turned into a career when you weren't paying attention

If you have to choose to not be a queer identity I have bad news for you.

Straight people don't have to choose to be straight, they just are.
Cis people don't have to choose to be cis, they just are.
Binary gendered people don't have to choose to be whichever, they just are.

If being straight, or cis, or a binary gender is actually a choice you made, you're denying who you are not changing who you are.

Is it a costume when it's what you wear all the time in-world?

One of the surprising apps in VR that I'm enjoying is watching movies. Despite that the entire VR experience is 2K at best, blowing the movie up to movie theater sizes really works in VR.

3D works really well, too. 3D has historically not been how I like movies, but that's because the effect doens't work well for me. In VR, though, it's fantastic.

And now I not only really have a Home Theater, I have a full on Movie Theater in my goggles!

Playing around with Emu VR. Got the Atari 2600 working in-world! Still having some problems with controls in both programs, but I think it's because I don't have any X-Input controllers. I have an X-Input emulator somewhere....

bad idea: A mouse cursor that's not just a simple floating pointer, it's a cat/dog paw... but it stretches all the way to an edge of the screen like it's a really long leg
