spent a good half an hour going through my cabinets looking for a specific set of DVD-R's with some videos i remember backing up probably close to 15 years ago, couldn't find them...

so i had a pretty deep mental dive into sci-fi nonsense the other day, and good news is i feel pretty clever for thinking up something i haven't seen in in science fiction before, but the bad news is, it might actually be the Torment Nexus, so i think i'm gonna just quietly file it away.

so i've done the last month sober. (i started a few days early so the whole short-month thing wasn't a cop-out.) happy to say i didn't fall off the wagon during that time and mostly felt the pull of the bottle in that first week.

i think what gets me drinking most often is when i'm stumbling my way through the day as usual and nothing's feeling great, the bottle whispers "well, you *could* feel different." i'm aware that "different" sometimes means worse, but that doesn't usually stop me from listening.

what i have noticed aside from that is that the urge to drink really only hits me when i see someone in a show or movie drinking. but then again i'm the same way when i see someone on TV enjoying coffee, i'd kill for a cup right then and there.

as always, the junkie expands their limits.

i think we should make it a thing and let celebrities know, if you espouse harmful beliefs--and nobody's going to tell you that you can't, because free speech is a thing, go ahead and say what you really think--we will pirate your shit from here on in; everything you're going to be in and everything you ever were in. no streaming, no sales. yarr harr motherfucks.
