John Logie Baird was born #OTD in 1888. He was the first man to televise pictures of objects in motion.

He demonstrated the world's first live working television system on 26 January 1926. He initially used a scan rate of 5 pictures per second, improving this to 12.5 pictures per second c.1927. It was the first demonstration of a television system that could scan and display live moving images with tonal graduation. via @wikipedia

@Tekk - It is. But at the same time it's a Lwaxana Troi episode. And as someone who lived with a parental unit like Lwaxana, I don't need to watch episodes with her in them. I lived them.

Today's Star Trek: The Next Generation is "Half a Life."

Troi: "Deanna Troi, personal log. Stardate 44805.3. My mother is onboard."

Jenn: "Well, we don't NEED to watch this one...."

Ever wanted your desktop windows to jiggle around on-beat? I wrote a Winamp plugin to solve this important problem.

I made today a "by gawd, I'm not doing anything I don't want to," and by gawd, I did it.

@Mondobizarrro - That's my main problem. I lived ten minutes from Lockhart, TX, the capital of Texas BBQ. Three places in competition there for decades, and some of the best BBQ you can get. So I'm super spoiled.

Everything else pales in comparison...especially outside of Texas.

New BBQ place opened down the street. Dare I try it for dinner? Cause...even the best BBQ out here is Bill Miller's level back home.

Thanks Apple for my new email signature:

@msdosreference@final.li - Thank ya kindly! As a DOS user from since 2.10, you'd think I'd know this already. :)

That's it? That's IT? I need some gochujang, but otherwise, this is super easy to make. Once I fry the chicken, just toss in the sauce and Gochujang Fried Chicken Sammich!
