A friend is moving and gave me some of her Keyboard Shit, so I put the unlabeled keycaps on the 30% keyboard to produce the most 1960s Star Trek keyboard I could.

REMINDER:

#Disney owns #ESPN and still holds a controlling interest on #FOXSports, making it the defacto boss of USA’s sports broadcasting m̶a̶f̶i̶a̶ and the leader of the largest media #monopsony in the planet

“ESPN has dropped Spike Lee‘s forthcoming multi-part documentary series about former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.”

Dammit. I was planning to take a friend to Mt Rainier today, checked on the site to make sure everything is open, the weather was good (it's okay-ish), and bought passes...only to find out you have to make reservations for Sunrise Summit?!

What?

Well, I'm sunk in for the 7 day pass today, so we're going to Paradise, which isn't as good as Sunrise, but...well...already paid for the pass....

Had a really nice night last night with Crystal, Lissa and Liz. Pizza, snacks, and (watching other people struggle) at Minigolf, then a double feature of Fantastic Four and Superman.

FF was an amazingly good looking movie in an alternate universe where 1950s Googie never died, but Superman. Oh, man, Superman. That was ::chef's kiss::

While I still perfer the 1978 Superman movie, David Corenswet plays a wonderfully sweet affable Superman. As much as I like the iconic "public servant" Chris Reeves' Superman, having a Superman who was Just A Guy From Kansas was really kind of awesome.

FF: 7/10
Superman: 9/10

So, while I may not have a new favorite Superman movie, I may have a new favorite Superman. <3

A line I'm quite proud of I wrote years ago: "The complexity of society is often measured on how good their vegetable soup is."

@OrionKidder - SO SO SO much this. It was @socketwench who went out of her way to mentor me in Linux that turned me into a convert to Linux. The help I've gotten from others was certainly not as...encouraging.

Make sure to maintain proper hydration levels on this Thursday, the day of Thirst

So I wanted to wait a few days before I announced this so, you know, made sure i didn't die or anything, but i ate an 11 year old MRE this weekend.

Still good, but, frankly, I don't like to eat these after about six years because they do do bad if not taken care of. This one was given to me by a friend and for some reason didn't have the date stamped on the bag. If I knew it was ten years old, I probably would have trashed it sight unseen. After opening it, though, everything seemed fine, so I tried it.

Back to slightly fresher MREs.

So, I was cleaning out the car a few days ago when I noticed that there was a match box on the floor. I have a few in the car but they're from MREs. I got a better look at it and, lo and behold, I had a collectors item. It was obviously in the package with the movie script, so I need to check my packages better for surprises.

Unexpectedly spent six hours at Summerstage. But spent it with good friends, nice shade, easy access to cold water, and helping a lot of kids make art at the Art Table (courtesy of the Cultural Commission).

Then the evening was movies with @socketwench

In all, a good day was had by all, I believe.

Had a dream where there was a company that made cereals whose tagline was "A moral part of this nutritious breakfast. "

Is best seller was a cereal named "A Place Where Apples Could Be Sorry. "

::looks around::

What's that noise? Oh...it's the silence of not having any urgent business or tasks to do for the first time since January.

::whew::

..........what am i forgetting............
