So, I'll finally burn through the struan bread loaf Thursday, and will need to make a new loaf of bread. Should I...

(1) Remake the struan loaf and this time do it without fridging the dough so it'll rise correctly?

(2) Just work on something new and make Japanese Milk Bread?

Either way, it'll last me two weeks, so I need to figure out what to make....

Tonight's Movie of the Week was the 2016 Ghostbusters. I don't care what anyone says, I loved that movie. 90% because of Kate McKinnon.

First the Wii Shop Channel, then the Wii U and 3DS eShops, and now a more personal end of an era...

The day I was asked to stay on past my first Christmas Peak in 2009-2010, I torpedoed my bank account and picked up a Wii and Nintendo DSi to have the systems on hand for support. One of the games I picked up was Picross 3D (I've loved Picross since Mario's Picross on the Game Boy).

It's a very involved game, very intense, and while I love Picross it took a while to plough through this game. Tonight, FOURTEEN YEARS LATER, I finished the first game I ever bought at the "Nintendo Fun 'n' Games" company store back in the day. :)

i am 47 years old. i have a house, a mortgage, insurance. i have a job, a family, and an ever-spiraling fractal cloud of responsibilities, requirements, expectations, debts, allegiances, hopes and deep, deep fears that surround and permeate my every waking moment.

the raw, bleating, uncanny NEED i currently feel to have Princess Daisy be a part of the next Super Mario Bros. movie is a dramatically outsized part of that fractal cloud in that it has eclipsed both reason and social nicety.

to wit: [deeeep inhale] EVERYBODY HEAR ME OUT I'M THINKING STEPHANIE BEATRIZ FOR VA, SHE COULD FLY TO THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM IN TATANGA'S SPACESHIP, SARASALAND COULD BE LIKE A COMBINATION ANCIENT EGYPT/AZTECA CIVILIZATION AND BE THE SETTING FOR THE NEXT MOVIE, SHE COULD BE PEACH'S SISTER AND THERE'S LIKE AN ANCIENT ORDER OF PRINCESSES AND THAT SETS UP THE GALAXY MOVIE WITH ROSALINA, AND ALSO DAISY SPENDS LIKE TWENTY MINUTES OF THE MOVIE MAKING OUT WITH SAMUS ARAN, NO CUTS, 500 MILLION OPENING WEEKEND, NOBEL PRIZE FOR MOVIES, DE NIRO AND PACINO ARE WARIO AND WALUIGI, YOU ARE WELCOME HOLLYWOOD

(After typing all this - boy does this sound like hack spam 😆 )

It's funny. Because of some incredible and easy advice from a friend of mine years ago my credit score is phenomenal. So I keep getting tons and tons AND TONS of credit card applications.

Same advice says "Don't, Jenn." But I'll admit, I seriously considered applying for them after my layoff just for the cushion. But I didn't.

A certain puppy does NOT like the hours I keep.

Oh hey...I'm out of Max Headroom episodes. What should I put on to replace it on my Saturday Sci Fi Theater...oh no...oh no no no.

Tonight's TNG is "Galaxy's Child."

Suddenly all these bridge shots mean something more this week....

Also, watching this post transition, Geordi really REALLY comes across as a creeper in dealing with Leah Brahms. It really comes across that he did more with that personnel file in the episodes between Booby Trap and this. I'm surprised they got married.

Funny how that shift in perspective changes things.

The patient is out of the hospital! Thanks to some very much needed TLC from Lissa.

Okay, having Plex turn my home network into a video server was nice, but I didn't realize it would work over the internet. Sci Fi date night with the puppy....

Hey, y'all. Remember wardriving? Cause I just wardrove my own house so I could log into a location-specific app that wouldn't send me a confirmation email!

Today's Trip: Night Shots (3 pics). I love the Night Mode on my phone. Needs some work on the focus, though....

Today's Trip: Mountains (3 pics)

So good to see the North Shore moutnains again. And COVERED in snow. ❤️
