And FINALLY I've vacuumed the office, meaning I've cleaned the house, which I started before the new year. 2023 MAY NOW OFFICIALLY START.

Trans youths and their families are traveling out-of-state to obtain gender-affirming care that is illegal at home. Pro-trans states that serve as health care sanctuaries must also be data sanctuaries. eff.org/deeplinks/2022/12/data

My wife and I are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary today. 10 months ago, I came out to her as #trans and she almost immediately came out to me as #bisexual and said "I would love to be #lesbians with you!" This year, I decided to make us an extra special anniversary cake to celebrate. 😁

I love my wife so much. She's been by far my biggest supporter throughout my transition process so far. Looking forward to many more years of #lesbian bliss!

While this drama is going on in the U.S. House, in the PA House a dark horse Democratic candidate was elected speaker despite the GOP having the numbers.

And in the OH House, Dems teamed up with a minority of Republicans to elect an alternative to the GOP caucus’s speaker pick

kinda sucks that the first work day of the year, when we're all supposed to pretend that 2023 is going to be Different when it comes to being productive rather than dicking around online, is a day of such tremendous content for our nation

kinda wild that gaetz and GOSAR of all people would specifically ask AOC this, instead of, like, anyone else

Just want y’all to know I bragged to my gender therapist today about the #trans community on Mastodon, that’s how much I love you all.

Things are still going as normal as ever over at Twitter....

Now this is interesting! I have a cookbook of recipes from schoolkid's parents in the Fredericksburg Texas. It contains recipes from 1916 to 1996. Fredericksburg had a very heavy German population back in the very early days, and even now keeps a lot of its German traditions.

One that's always intrigued me was a recipe for Milchsuppe from a Mrs. Striegler in 1916. After watching this video I went back to the cookbook and looked over the recipe and sure enough it's roughly the same thing! Mrs. Henke has another version from 1916 as well that includes rice and replaces cinnamon with nutmeg to make a kind of kheer-ish rice pudding.

As part of Jenn's Great Reset, I'll be closing the Patreon at the end of the month. While comics will be restarting, I don't feel having a Patreon that pulls money from readers on a VERY irregular manner is right, and that they can donate via PayPal as they wish.
