Thoughts Before Bed:

"It doesn't matter."
"It doesn't?"
"THAT'S what matters."

About a year ago, I wrote a spec script for Star Trek: Lower Decks. While it was my entry into two Paramount writing competitions, I'd actually written it earlier.

It was also a trans story I wrote cause the trans community had really taken it on the chin, and animation would allow for a few possibilities live action couldn't do. I even did some research on it, asking my trans-man friends for advice on the flip-side of the trans coin. I think it's funny, and plays well with the characters, and would have made a good episode.

Not being WGA (I don't come close to qualifying for for membership) or represented, there was little to no chance of it ever being produced. And I'm glad it didn't because instead we got Ad Astra per Aspera, which basically takes on the whole "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy of the 1990s, as well as the plight of the LGBTQ community (and the many forms of discrimination out there still). It made the point better, and stronger and far more powerfully than my thirty minute comedy could have done it.

Thanks for that, folks at SNW. It didn't go unnoticed.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds? Thanks for that episode. We needed that. I needed that. Especially after these last few years.

So, I've heard some rumblings about this week's Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. And I know I'm in for a wild ride, when one of the first things you see is....

This photo was a 6 month exposure from my back yard, It shows the tracks of sunlight from one solstice to the next.

Today's reminder not to let billionaires regulate themselves and ignore safety warnings in the name of exploration, because it gets people killed. Apply where and as needed.

Be strong for those who cannot be. Be kind, but especially to those who seldom receive kindness. Be aware of your weaknesses, but also your strengths. Be smart, be brave, be loyal. Be a true warrior, and know I am proud to stand with you.

You know what's worse than getting a song stuck in your head? Getting, like, five seconds of that song stuck in your head.

I blame the MRI.

The MRI wasn't bad, but certainly wasn't fun. The worst thing that happened was just as I went into the MRI machine, I went dry mouthed (Something that happens with all the diurectic meds I'm on). I spent the next thirty minutes just trying not to think how thirsty I was.

I got a copy of the imagery. I'm all squishy inside.

GoBots did it first.

> On the distant planet GoBotron dwell the GoBots, a race of robots able to transform themselves into amazing fighting vehicles. As war rages between the noble Guardian GoBots and the evil Renegade GoBots, the Renegades escape to earth--with a plot to enslave earthlings and conquer the galaxy. But the Guardians follow, and the battle begins.

Have you considered adding more dragons to whatever issue you are facing? This seems like a logical solution to me. :dragncool:#DragonPosting
